This is the re-draft of my magazine cover in which I have changed a few parts according to my audience research for example, I have used the colour scheme black, white and red which will be used throughout the magazine; the reason I chose this was because those were the colours that my audience most associated with my genre. Also I have decided to feature a female artist on the front because I asked in my audience interviews and questionnaires whether they would be interested in reading about a female indie artist and the majority said yes so I decided to use a female to appeal to my audience. The featured stories on the front are stories that in my audience research, they said they would be interested in. I have put my magazine priced at £2.00 because my audience said around £1.50 but due to me releasing the magazine monthly I had to put the price up a little but I feel that my audience would still pay that.
This is the re-draft of my contents page for my magazine which again I have changed a little due to audience research and research into the genre. So like on the cover I will be using the same female artist because my audience would be interested in the female indie artists and after researching into my genre and the style that I want my model to look like I have done a rough drawing of the sort of look I would like for my model which is a sort of masculine/feminine look and I think that this fits in with my genre and will therefore appeal to my target audience. I have split the page into two so that it has featured pages and regular pages and in the featured pages there will be an interview with the artist which is something that a lot of my target audience wanted to see. And also in the regular pages I have used story ideas from my audience research into what they would like to read so stories like interiews, gig guides and reviews will be featured in my magazine. And again the colour scheme for this page will be red, black and white which are the colours mostly associated with indie music.
This is the re-draft of my double page spread which has been influenced from my audience research. So the main feature will be on my double-page spread which is an interview with the female artist which are two things my target audience wanted to read about, I found this in both my questionnaires and my audience interviews. Again the colour scheme will be red, black and white to fit in with the magazine and the indie genre. Also what will feature on this page is at the end of the interview there will be a small promotional part for the artists new album i.e. the date of release, where to buy, price etc and this will fit in with my audience research because they all wanted to know about new upcoming artists so with the promotional bit, my audience will be able to test out the new artists.
On all my pages, I will be using the same fonts which will be Times New Roman for bulk text and small stories and then for large headings I will use a large square text, along the lines of arial. And all pages will have the same design along the top like a banner which will have the lines across the top and then the name of the feature on that particular page.
